I am fascinated with the richness that results from pattern making and the color variations that are possible. There is a mathematical aspect to pattern making that appeals to my interest in structure and order – Richard Parrish
Richard returns to Weisser Studio to teach his widely admired tapestry technique! Learn the secrets to creating dazzling, intricate patterns inspired by Richard’s Tapestry series of work.
This workshop is a comprehensive, boot-camp-style class covering Tapestry and Beyond Tapestry methods, among other topics. This class is designed to expand everyone’s knowledge of a wide range of Tapestry techniques and variations. On-edge assembly, cutting and reassembling, multiple firings, slumping, and coldworking expand the basic methods; many of these techniques can be adapted and used with other patterned glass.
This is an excellent workshop for a wide range of artists: those who are new to Tapestry, those who have previously taken the workshop online or in person, and students who have learned from his Bullseye video lesson.
