Sundays, 1:30P - 4:30P
October 4 & 11
Two 3-hour classes. Tuition $310.00; includes materials and use of tools. PREVIOUS GLASS-CUTTING AND FUSING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
Space is limited; tuition must be paid in advance to reserve your space in a class.
In this class, you'll learn to make a fused and slumped dish using the strip-cut technique. You'll explore different ways to cut narrow glass strips and how to design and fuse them on edge, resulting in beautiful, bubble-free pieces with clean linear patterns.
First, you'll make a 4”x4” sample strip-cut tile to practice the technique. Then, you'll create an 8”x 8” strip-cut plate to be fused and slumped. The class will also cover methods to simplify the process, firing techniques, and various uses of strip-cut construction.
