It is an accessible medium for all skill levels, can be made from different materials, and can be applied to almost any surface. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn this workshop, students will use colored sheet glass to create a mosaic in a pattern of their choice. No prior experience is required; if you’ve never cut glass, you will learn how to cut, break, and grind glass to fit your design.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStudents will assemble a 12” x 12” mosaic on their choice of substrate: wood for an opaque piece or clear glass to allow light to shine through. Pre-made patterns will be available, or students may create their own. Once grouted, students will mount the mosaics in frames for the perfect finishing touch!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll aspects of the mosaic process will be covered, from surface preparation to glass cutting, adhesives, grouting, and finishing.
