Mosaic is a versatile art form used to create intricate, beautiful imagery since antiquity. It is an accessible medium for all skill levels, can be made from different materials, and can be applied to almost any surface.
In this workshop, students will use colored sheet glass to create a mosaic in a pattern of their choice. No prior experience is required; if you’ve never cut glass, you will learn how to cut, break, and grind glass to fit your design.
Students will assemble a 12” x 12” mosaic on their choice of substrate: wood for an opaque piece or clear glass to allow light to shine through. Pre-made patterns will be available, or students may create their own. Once grouted, students will mount the mosaics in frames for the perfect finishing touch!
All aspects of the mosaic process will be covered, from surface preparation to glass cutting, adhesives, grouting, and finishing. Techniques taught in this class can be applied to many different projects!

TUITION CANCELLATION POLICY FOR THIS WORKSHOP
If we need to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen reasons, a full tuition refund will be provided.
If you need to cancel class, tuition will not be refunded for cancellations made within 21 days of the first class date unless a replacement is seated. A processing fee of $35.00 applies to all refunds or transfers of tuition for this workshop.
