Stainless steel dams are a fantastic way to expedite your project setup!
They require no bricks or weights to keep them in place during the firing process, as they are one solid piece of metal. Simply line the interior of the dam with 1/8" thick fiber paper; it will prevent the glass from sticking to the steel, as well as allowing the finished fused piece to pop easily out the dam.
They're a great alternative for those with smaller kilns who would lose a great deal of shelf space if using traditional ceramic dams with bricks as support.
All dams are 1" tall.
A variety of diameters are available. (Measurements are taken from the outer edges of dam)
