In this class, students will be introduced to the process of sandblasting on glass and how to use the process on iridescent surfaces for graphic and detailed design work. The sandblaster is a great tool for glass work; in this workshop you will learn the basics of masking resist application, cutting your pattern, blaster operation, and fusing options.
No prior experience or glass cutting is required! Students can choose to work with stock designs or make their own. Each student will create a small square or rectangular dish.
Once students have taken this class, they will also be qualified to rent the blasting equipment at Weisser Glass Studio.
