Learn to translate the beauty of the natural world into kiln-formed glass in this master class with renowned artist Nadine Booth.
This workshop will focus on illustrating a specific lake scene, which Nadine will provide. By having each student work from the same image, Nadine can focus her instruction on methods specific to this subject, allowing students to learn most from her mastery of the technique. (We promise, they’ll all be unique!)
Students will learn methods to convey ambiance, inviting viewers into nature through layered glass forms. Using these methods, everyone will make a 12” x 8” lake scene, creating depth, texture, and ambiance that draws viewers in.
Known for her detail-building in kilnformed glass, Nadine will teach a variety of advanced techniques, including layering, torch work, frit use, and cold working. Students will gain invaluable insights into glass placement and composition, and explore the delicate balance between natural inspiration and artistic control.
At the end of the class, each student will also receive a metal mounting plate to attach to the project for wall display.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Nadine started working in glass when she moved from her hometown of Pittsburgh, PA, to Hobart, IN, in 1991. She took a stained glass class and has been hooked ever since. Now living in Glendale, AZ, she continues her self-taught glass artistry at her home studio, Hidden Glass Studio.

TUITION CANCELLATION POLICY FOR THIS WORKSHOP
If we need to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen reasons, a full tuition refund will be provided.
If you need to cancel from the class, a $100.00 processing fee applies to all refunded or transferred tuition for this workshop. Tuition will not be refunded for students' cancellations made on or after February 26, 2027, unless a replacement can be seated.
