3½-day workshop. Tuition $995.00; includes materials and use of tools during class. All levels welcome!
Space is limited; tuition must be paid in advance to reserve your space in a class.
Mandalas have long served as powerful tools for self-reflection and exploration. In this class, we will focus on the intricate pattern of an eight-pointed star while delving into our personal connections with the creative process.
Alongside learning glass techniques and skills to create the elements needed to craft our pieces, we will incorporate meditation and Taoist energy practices to help us connect with our subconscious thoughts and the messages that the mandalas hold for each of us.
Participants will learn to make glass canes and murrini in a vitrograph kiln, how to prepare and form triangular pattern bars, and how to fabricate and fire their designs using these elements.
By the end of the workshop, each student will have the opportunity to complete a 10” round personal mandala that reflects their unique voice and journey.
Returning students who have previously taken this class may choose to upgrade to a larger project for a nominal fee, if they wish!
