1:30-4:30
3-hour workshop. Tuition $175.00; includes materials and use of tools. AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF FUSING AND CUTTING EXPERIENCE IS RECOMMENDED.
Space is limited; tuition must be paid in advance to reserve your space in a class.
In this workshop, we add a twist to strip construction fusing. This is a great intermediate workshop for those that have taken beginner fusing classes. You will learn to work with glass strips on edge in a new way. The effect created is of softly undulating waves of color, reminiscent of a calm lake, peaceful river, or gentle ocean. Students will learn to cut strips to create the unique wave effect and assemble the piece for firing.
Along with learning the wavy-design technique, you will learn how to use dams in the kiln and achieve a clean form that requires minimal cold working. Each student will create an approximately 6” x 6” fused and slumped dish.
PLEASE NOTE THAT BY PURCHASING ENROLLMENT IN THIS WORKSHOP, YOU ARE AGREEING TO OUR TUITION CANCELLATION POLICIES
