0220 Sunflower Yellow Opalescent Rod
Sold as singles or in a bundle of 10.
Rod is sold in lengths of approximately 18 in (450 mm).
Rods are pulled from remelted Bullseye-compatible sheet glass. This Bullseye rod is an F-grade (recommended for both kilnwork and torchwork).
Notes:
Torch: This dense opalescent stays true to color except when used in the smallest amounts. Keep it bright yellow by working with a neutral-to-oxidizing flame atmosphere. It can turn gray in reduction. We advise labeling all striking glasses.
Kiln: Lighter color and greater opacity than in sheet glass form.
This style is not suitable for kilncasting because it can become incompatible when held at high temperatures for an extended period. It may also become incompatible in instances where processes exceed the test's compatibility parameters. Testing is recommended when heatwork exceeds these parameters.
